Хата з с. Красна Попівка, Кремінського р-ну, Луганської обл.
Будівля представляє традиційне житло Луганщини ХІХ-ХХ ст. Хату виявлено архітектором С. Верговським у 1970 р. в науково-пошуковій експедиції музею у складі С. Верговського, В.Меліхової та Ю.Зморовича. Затверджено Вченою радою до експонування у музеї.
Хата належала Гнилицькій Катерині Никифорівні. За її інформацією, хата була поставлена у цьому ж селі давно, але на іншій садибі. Куплена у 1929 р. і перевезена на місце, де і стояла до її виявлення музеєм. Перевозили лише клітку хати, а сіни ставив чоловік власниці. В хаті до перевезення, хатини не було, її згодом виділили у сінях. «Наличників» у хаті зсередини на вікнах не було. Вікна були одинарні.
Житлова споруда 9,47х6,02 м.
Хата (клітка власне хати) рублена на дубових підвалинах з дубового брусся, на високій «приспі», закладеній зсередини за підвалини торчами. Сіни зведені у стовпи, в закидку, мащеною глиною. З чола і причілка влаштовано галерею на стовпах-колонках, в’язаних ощепом з масивних дубових різьблених брусів, перев’язаних з випусками «роговиків» клітки хати на причілок. Долівки глинобитні. Стеля з очерету, настеленого поздовж по поперечних, густо поставлених слижах, укладених на зруб і масивний поздовжній сволок. Під поздовжнім сволоком ще один сволок, поперечний сволок-полиця, митий, що використовувався як полиця для хліба під рушником (цей сволок вирізали хазяї після підсипки долівки, коли виявилось що він занизький і заважає в побуті)
Чотирисхилий дах критий м’ятою.
При встановленні хати в музеї використано інший поперечний сволок, придбаний разом із віконницями в іншій давній хаті з цього ж села.
У хаті відтворено традиційне місцеве настінне малювання.

A house from Krasna Popivka village in Kreminskyi district of Luganska Region
This house represents a traditional type of dwelling on Luganshchyna in 19th-20th Centuries. This house was discovered by an architect S. Vergovskyi in 1970 during a scientific expedition of the museum, comprising of S. Vergovskyi, V. Melikhova and Y. Zmorovych and approved by the scientific council for the museum.
The house was a property of Hnylytska Kateryna Nikiforovna. As she told, the house had been built in the village quite long ago, but in other homestead. It had been bought in 1929 and moved to the place, where it stayed until transferred to the museum. Only the home has been moved, while mudroom has been built by the owner’s husband. Before transfer, there was no small room, and it was detached in the mudroom later. No window frames were there from inside, the window was for a single piece of glass.
This is a residential building, 9.47 x 6.02 m.
The house (cage of the house itself) has log walls on basement of oak-tree lumbers. It stays on high on high earth platform pryspa, supported from its sides by perches, fixed in the basement. The mudroom is based on piles with their batten covered with clay. In front of the house, from front wall and sidewall thereof there is a gallery, supported by columns, fixed with massive oak-tree lumbers, joint with tips of cage of the house, open to its sidewall. The floors are wattle-and-daub. The ceiling is made of cane, laid lengthwise on transverse, densely placed cabers, supported by logs and by massive longitudinal ceiling beam. Under this beam, there is another one, a transverse beam serving as a shelf. This washed beam was used as a shelf for bread, covered with a towel. New owners deleted this beam, because after rising the floor is became too low and hindered doing housework.
Its four-sloped roof is covered with crashed straw.
During mounting in the museum, another transverse beam was used. It had been purchased jointly with the window frames in other ancient house of the same village.
Traditional wall paining is represented in this house. Its area is 57 square meters.
